UW-Whitewater wrestling coach, Tim Fader announced the 2008-2009 season awards for the Warhawk wrestling team.

Best Freshman: Jake Fredrickson 24-9
Most improved: Karl Voeck
NWCA Scholar All Americans: Sean Pietrzyk, Karl Voeck, Austin Bautista, Tom Trieloff, and Karl Wachholder
Most Falls Award: Sean Pietrzyk 17
Hardest Worker: Karl Voeck
Warhawk Fans of the year: Michaela Voeck and Char Wachholder
Ironman Award: Kyle Wachholder
Springtime Committmen Award: Cedric Gibson
All American Awards: Austin Bautista, Karl Voeck, and Pat Nagel
Senior Award: Josh Miller, Sean Evans, Karl Voeck, Tom Trieloff, and Pat Nagel
Warhawk Most Valuable Wrestler Award: Austin Bautista

*New Award in 2009 is the Kevin McCann Courage Award. This award was presented by Dennis and Jane McCann in honor of their son Kevin. Kevin was a 3 year Warhawk letterwinner who was killed defending a friend at a North Carolina State football game in 2004. This award is given to a Warhawk Wrestler with a passion for this sport, these teammates and this place. This years winners were seniors Tom Trieloff and Karl Voeck.
