Michigans Calib Rought to wrestle at Bacone
Coach Oleson is pleased to announce the signing of Calib Rought. A Division 1 prospect and elite wrestler out of Michigan.
Calib Rought, a two time Division Three State Champion from Shelby, Michigan has signed to wrestle his collegiate career at Bacone College. Rought wrestled for Fremont high school in Hesperia, Michigan. Calib won state titles in 2008 and 2009 at the 152 pound weight class. As a sophomore he placed sixth in the state at 145 pounds.
Calib was a three time regional champion as well as a three time conference champion. He is a two time Fargo placer, placing sixth in freestyle in 2007.
Rought was a member of Team Michigan’s National team the past two seasons. He was a two time Michigan State Runner up in freestyle as well a two time Michigan Grecko Roman State Champion
Calib had a high school career record of 168-23. Rought set milestones for wins and pins at Fremont High School. A single season school record of 58 wins his senior season as well as 113 career falls. Calib is Fremont’s High Schools second state champion.
Calib is projected to wrestle at the 157 pound weight class. He is the son of Bruce and Bekke Rought.
