Rogers named NAIA Scholar-Athlete
LEBANON, Tenn. – Cumberland junior Eric Rogers was one of 21 honorees for the 2009 Daktronics-NAIA Wrestling Scholar-Athletes, announced by the national office last week. Individuals must have at least a junior academic standing and a minimum cumulative grade-point-average of 3.5 or above.
Rogers carries a 3.60 GPA at Cumberland, majoring in Accounting. CU’s wrestling team finished 19th at the recent NAIA National Championships in Oklahoma City, Okla., with junior Corey Bleaken garnering All-America honors at 149.
