Cobbers’ wrestling on the rise

Concordia head wrestling coach Clay Nagel loves coming to the wrestling room these days and watching his team practice.

“I’m just pleased,” said Nagel, in his sixth season with the Cobbers. “I come in the room and it’s a great feeling. There is a lot of pride there in what we’ve done at Concordia. The competition in the room, it’s really fun to watch. … It’s kind of like brothers out on the farm.”

The Cobbers are ranked No. 8 in the latest NCAA Division III coaches’ poll and has a 6-0 dual record this season.

Concordia was 10-1 last season and finished that campaign in the Division III Top 10.
