TOM’s National Individual High School Wrestling Rankings 04.22.10

The new rankings are starting to take shape as the international-styles season gets rolling. Many kids are in action this week at Fila Juniors which take place in Ohio. You can find results and entries on http://www.trackwrestling.com

We’ll use the weight classes that kids wrestled their folkstyle season at as a starting point, and make changes as entry weights at spring and summer tournaments indicate. Honorable mention lists will be developed as ‘off-season’ progresses.

As we said earlier, guys will be moving around in weights. If you feel that we are overlooking someone or that we have a weight off. Some guys may be ranked lower then you would expect or show up on our “watch list”. Why you ask. Simple, we are still waiting to see where they will fit into things weight wise etc… So, we are not trying to slight anyone or under value them. We are simply slow playing things as we know they will change.

Again, we know we are far from perfect, but we do our best to stay on top of things, there are a lot of wrestlers across the nation. If you feel we are overlooking someone or are unaware of them, please send us a bio and a RESPECTFUL note as to why they should be ranked. This does not mean we will rank them, but it will give us info to follow that wrestler. You can send info to rankings@theopenmat.com
