Mark McKnight Goes 7 Minutes with TOM (Adam Frey Special)
TOM: Are you excited for your match at the Adam Frey Classic?
MM: Absolutely.
TOM: What does it mean to you to be part of this exciting event?
MM: It is an honor to be part of this event. It is the least I can do to show my appreciation for what Frey has done for the wrestling community and my own career. I owe a lot to him, we all do.
TOM: For many fans this is somewhat of a dream match up, if you could pick any wrestler from any era, who would, you want to wrestle?
MM: Mavlet Batirov but only at 55kg
TOM: Tell us something about yourself that most people would not know?
MM: I read a lot of books.
TOM: What is your most memorable wrestling moment and why?
MM: Taking 3rd place as a team (PSU) at the 2008 NCAA’s… We didnt have a great regular season despite being an outstanding team. And when are backs were against the wall the teammates and I responded. you can not put a price on the bond we had and how we pulled together to rally for a third place finish.
TOM: Off the top of your head who wins the NCAA Team title next year and why?
MM: PSU duh. Besides that fact that they are long over due, they have killer depth and a remarkable leader with head coach being Cael “the man” Sanderson.
TOM: Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
MM: In five years I can see me stepping away from competitive wrestling and living out my life. Hopefully with a beautiful baby by my side and a wrestling club of my own to help occupy my time.
