In what has been a busy week, six high school seniors that appear in TOM’s Top Prospect Report have verballed to their respective colleges. It brings the total for September to 10. For the Class of 2012, 25 of the 100 wrestlers in the TPR have already committed. Below is a list.

TheOpenMat was notified of two more significant commitments on Wednesday.

Zach Bridson (125) of the storied Timberlane, New Hampshire, program has given a verbal commitment to continue his wrestling career as a University of Tennessee-Chattanooga Moc.

Bridson has been a career lightweight with several national placings. He won the Beast of the East at 103lbs in 2009. The following year he placed 4th at the NHSCA’s as a Sophomore. Bridson has been finished in the top three of the New England Regional each year in high school, finishing 3rd at 112lbs last season.

The Bucknell Bison also picked up a quality wrestler in California product, Robert Marchese (184).

Wrestling for Oak Hills High School, Marchese placed 7th in a loaded state bracket that included four nationally-ranked wrestlers. Robert then went on to earn a runner-up finish at Virginia Beach in the Junior National Championships, losing only in the finals to now #1-Nikko Reyes (Clovis West, CA).
Marchese is currently ranked 18th in TOM’s All-Class rankings.

  2. “Prep” refers to anything before college. Prep in this case simply means ‘high schooler’
