Another Top Prospect Headed to South Mountain
Personally, I always thought it was stupid that Lehigh changed their nickname from the ‘Engineers’ to the otherwise ho-hum Mountainhawks.
I mean ‘Mountainhawks’ is in reference to something local; many people go to the mountains in Bethlehem to watch the great diversity of birds there.
But ‘Engineers’ was so historic and unique.
Plus, at a time like this, it would allow me to say something kinda witty, like ‘the recruiting train keeps rolling for the Engineers.’
On Monday night, Pennsylvania State Champion Brian Brill joined the flock of talented recruits heading to Lehigh next fall.
Brill, out of Central Mountain, PA, was also a Fargo Runner-Up in 2009, and ranked #2 in our Top Prospect rankings at 157lbs. He chose Lehigh over Penn State and Cornell.
Along with Brill, Lehigh has also received verbals from #8-Randy Cruz (133), HM-Laike Gardner (141), #1-Mitch Minotti (157), HM-Elliot Riddick (174/184), #3-Brandon Griffin (184), and #1-Doug Vollaro (HWT).
