Cyclones Get “Little” Moreno

For the Class of 2010, Iowa State garnered a #6 ranking for the incoming crop of talent.

Last year was a relatively quiet year for the Cyclones in terms of recruiting, But Head Coach Kevin Jackson is putting together a very impressive group for 2012.

On Sunday, the Cyclone family added Gabe Moreno of Urbandale, Iowa. He is the younger brother of current ISU 157, Mike Moreno.

Last week, Gabe appeared in our Top Prospect Report as our #3 recruit at 149lbs.

Moreno has placed 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th at his last three state tournaments. He’s also been a Fila Cadet FS Runner-Up, and placed 3^rd in Virginia Beach as a Sophomore.

Most recently, Gabe placed 6^th at Fargo this summer competing at 145lbs.

Moreno joins an already impressive Cyclone recruiting haul that includes HM-Dakota Bauer (133), #3-John Meeks (141), and HM-Jesse Doyle (184/197).
