Logan Stieber Named Big Ten Wrestler of the Week

COLUMBUS, Ohio – Logan Stieber, a redshirt freshman on the No. 8 Ohio State wrestling team, was named Big Ten Co-Wrestler of the Week the conference announced Tuesday. It is Stieber’s third-career weekly honor. Stieber shares the award with Penn State’s Ed Ruth.

A native of Monroeville, Ohio, Stieber pinned No. 8 Cashé Quiroga of Purdue in 1:12 to record his team-leading 10th pin of the season en route to the Buckeyes’ 27-10 win in St. John Arena Jan. 12. With an 18-1 overall record, including a 3-1 conference ledger, Stieber has scored bonus points in 15 of his matches. Stieber, ranked fourth in the country at 133 pounds, also boasts a 9-1 dual record.
