   How about Swider of IL? Not sure who he wrestled this year but was undefeated when beat than #1 Marchok. Only loss of year was rematch in state finals to Marchok.

   FYI: Post Gazette reported that Kemerer (Franklin Regional) has dropped to 106 for post season.

   i like Swider. in fact i’ve told some college coaches about him.

   but rankings are a different thing. great win over marchok, yes. but to my knowledge it was his only win over a ranked opponent ever. that alone just doesn’t get you in.

   dnp at state tournament last year.

   I had heard froma friend that Ben Whitford lost a match this season. True? I can’t find the info anywhere

   Swider pinned Brian Moran who you have ranked at National Greco-Roman Duals last year.

   How can Stroker be ranked and when Phillip Laux is not. Laux is 2 and 0 against Stroker this year including one win in the state finals.

   Hey Willie, I really really like Vincenzo Joseph but right now he is ranked 7th in his own state in AAA (not including the AA guys). A couple guys dropped Kemerer being one of them. Got a couple returning medal winners at 106 in AAA now. If you get the time check out 220 lbs in AA in D-10 in PA. There are 3-4 legit D-1 guys there. Talking MONSTERS really suprised none of these guys have hit your radar but a couple other guys from PA have. These guys could easily go 1-5 at states and have been beating each other up all year.

    Spearman beat Chishko after I think 3 ot periods on a rideout… and Chishko made weight @ 132 for the team tournment

    Where the heck is Phillip Laux? You have Fredy Stroker ranked, but not Laux? Laux has a better overall resume and beat Stroker twice!

    Dom Forys also dropped to 106 in PA, Kemerer has an OT win over Vincenso this year. Desluariers is on a crash course with Phipps in a few weeks. Solomon dropping to 195 makes AA 220 a little easier. Can’t wait!

    Let me hit 113, because the bottom half is a cluster, and there are some valid pts.

    If there’s one guy who should be in it’s Northrup, who beat Laux and Duda (2x’s), won a state title and placed at Fargo.

    Duda is a personal fave of mine. he has a win over Laux this year too. but a loss to Laster, another kid with a decent case (only loss at states was to mcghee).

    actually, both Duda and Northrup were beaten by Alber and Parvenmihr at USAW events this year.

    In short, the state of Illinois makes ranking this weight insane!

    Laux – had losses to Duda and Northrup at Dvorak. good kids, but at the time both unranked. i gave Laux the benefit of the doubt (one bad weekend does not trump his national resume). but then he lost to an unrankable kid from Cedar Rapids. so he came out.

    Stroker – only two losses came to Laux. won KC Classic where Millhof took third.

    so yes, its a mess. and there’s only 20 spots. 1 slot opens up with Kemerer dropping to 106.

    essentially it comes down to a couple spots for:

    northrup, duda, laux, stroker, millhof, and lantz.

    stroker outplaced millhof at KC Classic, 1st to 3rd. but millhof later beat Rappo.

    Lantz gave tommy thorn (farg champ, cadet world 5th) his only loss this season, but Lantz dnp’d at fargo 105.

    many kids with merits.

    i’ll straighten it out this week.

    most likely, lantz comes out, making 3 spots vacant (w/kemerer defection to 106 and Wert wrestling state tourney at 120)

    if they have him 7th in the state, that’s fine.

    i’m willing to put my name on his national ranking.

    that being said, SW Region AAA is going to be ridiculous at 103.

    Spearman-Chishko

    i moved Chishko down about 4 spots, Spearman up about 3.

    one overtime RO win does not mean wrestler A should be ahead of wrestler B.

    Chishko has been much more consistent.

    and no, Chishko didn’t weigh in at 132 for team state (or at any other time) this year.

    i don’t have any record of him wrestling in National Duals in ’11.

    and in 2010, Swider didn’t wrestle against Michigan. Brooks pinned Moran.

    Re: Whitford losing this season, MHSAA site has his record as 33-0 this season on the state pairings.

    Not 100% on this but I think last Whitford loss was last summer to Collica and I believe he has beaten Collica since then.

    I wouldnt be surprised if Jared Scharenbrock beats Ryan Lubeck(145) today @ wisc state, great matchup both good wrestlers pulling the trigger.

    How close is Topher Carton to being ranked? I know he lost this season (1 was iffy but the other was to a top 10 kid)but I assumed he was still a top 20 talent. 3 time state champ and 1 time runner up, there cant be many other guys who have done that.

    Darick Lapaglia Blue Springs Mo. 138lb.state champ class 4. Only loss to Jack Bass 7-5….Beat Grant Leath class 3 state champ 9-2…Not sure how Darick is overlooked.

    Kyle Ayersman is a 3x state champ and placed 2nd or 3rd his freshman year . His career record is 193-2 .I’m glad he chose Purdue .
    @ 138 Jackson is the kid you hope you draw while you are weighing in-then when he beats you to death you leave the mat wondering how a 6′+ 138 lber with NO muscle just destroyed you.
    @ 132 Malloy is every bit as good as Mckinley .
    @ 145 (if he doesn’t redshirt ) Tshirt will be on my fantasy team .He could AA this year.
    @ 195 Sliga will be in the top 5 next year as a Sr.
